EAT:
We are bombarded with tons of advice on how and what to eat. There is no shortage of new diets, books, apps, Facebook posts, recipes, “experts”, supplements, fads, and trends regarding food.

And yet, society as a whole is still confused about nutrition and obesity rates continue to sky rocket in adults and children of all ages.

The nutritional recommendations from CrossFit have never changed. Greg Glassman, the founder and CEO of CrossFit, came out in 2007 with how to eat in order to live a long life, avoid chronic diseases (heart disease, diabetes, cancer, etc.), feel great, optimize our time in the gym and be the best version of ourselves. It is very simple:

“Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar.”

It’s simple. And totally true.


Strength:
Take a few minutes to establish your footwork for your split jerk using the kneeling method and then complete 5-8 jump and lands.

Every 2 minutes, for 12 minutes, complete (6 sets):
1 Jerk Dip + 1 Split Jerk
Set 1 – 75%
Set 2-3 – 80%
Set 4-6 – 85%
